Bio

  Avril is a Health Psychologist, Acupuncturist, Craniosacral therapist and Naturopath. She combines Psychological services (where necessary) and Natural medicine treatments to optimize health and wellness. In her practice she may be typically combining CBT work with Acupuncture or Compassion focused work with Craniosacral therapy, each patient is unique and will respond to different approaches. She obtained an Honors degree in Psychology from Trinity and an MSc in Health psychology from UCG before training in various forms of Natural medicine. She has worked in healthcare for over 20 years and is a former Trinity lecturer and former principal of the CNM in Ireland. She is a key advocate of the Mind/Body/Spirit approach to well-being. She has studied in the USA, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. She is a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland and the Acupuncture Council of Ireland. She has contributed many articles to press and spoken on radio.
